Yoga & Meditation in the Lap of the Himalayas Nepal

Yoga & Meditation in the Lap of the Himalayas Nepal - 18 days April 6th - 23rd, 2017

A journey to Nepal's spiritual treasures and an opportunity to dive into the pristine nature of the Himalayan country. The Himalayas (Himal = mountains, Laya = snow) are the home of the teachings of the ancient practices of Yoga. For thousands of years in this landscape, Yogis and Lamas have been practicing the teachings that are still very much alive today. Participants can immerse themselves into the meditative and powerful atmosphere of these mountains, and gain benefits from being surrounded in a natural and relaxing environment to embark on both an external and internal journey. This retreat encourages participants to enhance their own self-awareness, discovery and healing. Under the guidance of a professional yoga and meditation teacher, one can deeply study practices such as relaxation, meditation, hatha yoga, pranayama, yoga nidra, yoga philosophy, mindfulness in daily life, etc. with small lectures in the evening to gain more understanding of the practices and their origins. Participants are engaged in a relaxed and unruffled program with the aim of "deceleration" from everyday life, and are encouraged to find the relation to oneself and nature again. So that one can receive maximum benefits, this is a vegetarian, non-alcoholic retreat.

This trip includes visits to Kathmandu, Nepal's capital, with its historical, culturally and spiritually significant places of interest, including various Tibetan monasteries and meditation centers. Enjoy hikes with like-minded people in the region around Pokhara, on the beautiful Fewa Lake and at the footsteps of the mighty Annapurna massif. At the end of this tour, admire the magic of the jungle witha visit to the Chitwan National Park. In the quiet and cozy jungle lodge, the trip will ideally end so that participants can integrate easily and effortlessly into the nature.
